Hundreds of immigrant children stay in a country where they have no family ties.
NEW YORK (Nettavisen): The New York Times writes on Friday that about 200 children from countries like Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador have been turned over to Mexican authorities in the past eight months after they arrived in the United States as refugees.

The newspaper writes that children are thus in the hands of the authorities in a country where they have no family connections.
For many years, the Trump administration’s handling of immigrant children has meant that family members are separated from each other for several months and unable to communicate with each other, the newspaper writes.

According to the New York Times, most of the children have been placed with Mexican child welfare authorities, which oversee shelters run by religious organizations and other private groups.
An internal email from the Deputy Chief of the United States Border Patrol, Eduardo Sánchez, claims that these transfers of children from the United States to Mexico violate the government’s own policy.
The New York Times revelation comes just over a week after it emerged that court-appointed attorneys in the United States have been unable to find the parents of 545 children who have been separated from their parents at the border with Mexico.
In 2017, the Trump administration launched a controversial practice in which thousands of families were divided upon arrival in the United States and parents were deported to Mexico and Central America.

Up to two-thirds of the parents of these children have been deported back from the country and lawyers are now working to reunite the children with their parents.
These children also became topics during the recent television debate between Biden and Trump.
– We are ridiculed as a nation for this, Biden said.
Trump: – We keep radical Islamists out of here!
Immigration also became a topic on Friday when President Donald Trump spoke in Waterford Township, Michigan.
Among other things, Trump said he is still working to keep illegal immigrants out of the country.
– We keep radical Islamists out of here! Trump said in his speech on Friday.
The president also referred to the terrorist attacks in France recently.
“Just look at what happened in France,” the president said, referring to the murder of history professor Samuel Paty, who had shown cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad while teaching freedom of expression, and the terrorist attack in Nice, in which three people lost their lives after being attacked by a 21-year-old Tunisian.

On Thursday, Trump also reported on the entry ban of several Muslim countries.
– My administration has suspended the entry of refugees from countries committed to terrorism such as Syria, Somalia and Yemen. Biden’s plan is to flood Minnesota, Michigan and Pennsylvania with a 700 percent increase in refugees, hitting schools and hospitals as they open the doors to radical Islamic terror, the president wrote on Twitter Thursday.
