In a press release, the employee organization, Norsk Arbeidsmandsforbund (NAF), states that the recall consists of many recently registered members. In addition, the guards at Kvaerner Stord, Kvaerner Verdal, Equinor Rotvoll and Råde National Arrival Center are on strike.
The security strike has been going on for more than a month. In mid-September, NAF took out 420 guards on strike. At the same time, Parat eliminated 383 of his guards.
The reason is that the security guard’s salary has been delayed and that employers have shown no willingness to close the gap, according to NAF.
– Guards have lagged behind in terms of salary in recent years from an already low salary. Therefore, there were expectations of a deal that brings the security guard salary closer to the average industrial worker salary. Unfortunately, we did not understand it at the mediation, union leader Anita Johansen at NAF said at the time.
The parties NHO Service og Handel and Norsk Arbeidsmandsforbund and Parat have been summoned to legal mediation by the Ombudsman, but without an agreement.
2,169 guards have already gone on strike. The strike, among other things, led to the closure of the Oslo bus terminal at 8pm.
