This is confirmed by the municipality of Trondheim in an SMS to NRK.
– We have someone who has been to seven restaurants for a weekend. It is quite hectic and when they are infected too. It presents some challenges, says City Manager Morten Wolden at a presidential briefing in Trondheim.
Seven new infected
On Tuesday, the municipality said seven new people have been diagnosed with coronary heart disease in Trondheim. Several of them have visited nightclubs in the city.
One of the contagious has been in seven restaurants.
They do not want to confirm which restaurants it is.
– I notice that the vigilance of maintaining a distance of one meter, running and following, is slower than before, says Wolden.
Linked to Hammerfest
The municipality is now working to get an overview of which of the nightclubs need to be closed and how many will need to be quarantined.
Three of the people who have now been diagnosed with the infection live together in a collective.
One of those infected is also linked to the outbreak at Hammerfest.
Good infection control control
Over the weekend, the nightlife in Trondheim has been reviewed. On Friday afternoon and evening 22 discos were visited, while on Saturday 30 places were visited.
– There is good control of infection control. They follow the infection guide. There’s a bit of a mix in a couple of places and a bit of a queue at some, reports from those who are watching the nightlife extravaganza, says Wolden.
Police also report a quiet weekend. Calmer than it was earlier this fall. According to Wolden, this is probably due to the fact that the service time has been extended.
