Back adjustment
Based on Dinside’s experience, there is now talk of a currency-based price correction, after they increased the price significantly earlier this year.
In April, Tesla raised prices for all models, the highest prices for the “cheap model” Model 3. The standard range Plus increased by as much as 46,000 crowns, from 384,900 to 430,900 crowns, up 11 percent.
Therefore, today’s recent price is still NOK 15,000 higher than it was six months ago.

Waiting for safe deliveries
Although the U.S. currency has fallen significantly since April, Tesla has waited until now to adjust prices due to uncertainty related to the U.S. factory krone shutdown and car delivery.
– We have chosen not to do this until we were sure we could deliver to new customers, says communications manager Even Sandvold Roland at Tesla Norway.
– And that plug came loose in September?
– Yes, you can say that.
– Does the increased competition from electric cars, such as Polestar 2, have nothing to do with the price adjustment?
– No. It was not part of the evaluation. The Model 3 is extremely competitive on its own. The car sold the best in 2019 and has won several awards, although it still does well in comparison tests with the newest cars on the market, he tells Dinside.
Low interest rates
As part of today’s new prices, Tesla, in collaboration with DNB, is also launching a limited-time interest rate offer for those considering purchasing a new Model 3. The nominal interest rate, which can be indexed , is not more than 0.25 percent of the three. the firsts years.
According to Tesla Norway, this means that a Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus, without winter tires, can be reimbursed for ten years for NOK 3604 per month, without having contributed capital.

The Long Range edition, with trailer hitch and winter tires, is repayable in ten years for NOK 4,245 at an interest rate of 0.25%, says Sandvold Roland.
Customers who have placed an order, but have not yet received the Model 3, will automatically receive the new prices on their order. The interest rate of 0.25 percent only applies when ordering a new Model 3.
