Bertheussen fought the old judges

– I confessed everything and I was very ashamed. They try to kill characters over and over. I know the truth and I know who I am. I deserved the punishment I received, I knew what I was doing was wrong and asked for help, the defendant said in a prepared booth, with Tor Mikkel Wara, who was living together, sitting just behind in room 250 of the Oslo District Court.

On Wednesday, prosecutor Marit Formo highlighted three previous sentences the defendant received in the 1980s, two conditional and one unconditional. The verdicts are included in the documentation, but the prosecutor said the verdicts themselves are not that significant.

However, Formo wanted to highlight two sections of the last verdict of the Oslo City Court in 1989. At the time, Bertheussen was sentenced to 120 days in prison with two years’ probation and a fine of NOK 600 for theft, fraud and falsification. This is to give a description of the personality of the accused from the age of 6 until she was found guilty.

– He was like a child. I relapsed, but never gave up hope of becoming a better version of myself, Bertheussen said Thursday.

He claimed that Formo had contributed to the verdicts leaking to the press.

– Leaks really hurt. My kids and my boyfriend didn’t know about this. I am strong enough to endure PST’s desperation for ugliness. Thank you from me, said the 55-year-old.
