It’s heading into a sunny fall week across much of southern Norway, while northern Norway can expect rain and snow.
In the last week, it has rained unusually a lot in eastern Norway.
On-duty meteorologist Siri Wiberg now reports ‘best times’:
– Those of us who live in the south or east of Norway, fortunately, we will have a little more normal weather next week. There is a lot of good time waiting. Those who live south of the Stad and Dovre will be the climate winners next week, he tells VG.
Western Norway will also escape large amounts of precipitation, according to Wiberg. However, this does not mean that there will be clear weather there:
– In western Norway and on the coast, you can talk about local morning fog and north wind, Wiberg tells NTB.
Wiberg explains that we are at a time of year when some fog problems can arise.
– With land winds along the coast, some fog may form.
In central Norway, a more variable week is expected.
– Although there will be stays in both Trondheim and Møre og Romsdal at the beginning of the week, the rains will return towards the weekend, says Wiberg.

Snow in the north
The northern population must cover both rain and snow.
In Finnmark, snow of more than 300 to 400 meters is already expected at the beginning of the week.
– During the week, the temperature drops throughout northern Norway. Subzero temperatures and showers are expected, which means a lot of snow can fall inland and at altitude, says the meteorologist.
Forget that winter is coming
Although good weather has been reported in the south, Wiberg points out that we are at a time of year when driving conditions should be followed.
– There may be some frost inside. Time to keep up, and in some places you should probably think about winter tires. This weekend there was snow in the mountains, he says.
On Twitter, state meteorologists are urging people to find an ice scraper and a warmer jacket.
– It’s weird, but every year you forget that winter is coming, concludes Wiberg.
