Negotiations with the Ombudsman, which have been taking place since 10 am on Friday, have ended.
– We are pleased to have reached the Ombudsman’s Office today with our most important requirements for the oil and gas members. Therefore, the shelf strike will end immediately, union leader Audun Ingvartsen at the Lederne employee organization says in a statement.
Information Manager Kolbjørn Andreassen from the Norwegian Oil and Gas industry organization comments:
– The strike is over. The ten-day conflict is over and work on the six facilities can be resumed as soon as possible.

Ten day strike
Six fields have been out of production due to the strike that began on September 30.
The main problem in the negotiations has been the situation of a handful of employees who previously worked on the shelf, but who will now perform the same jobs from control rooms on the ground.
The employer side did not want to agree that the business agreement should include such employees.
After nine hours, the parties reached an agreement with the Ombudsman. Leaders write in a message that they are very satisfied with the result based on what was possible to achieve.
After the news, which means there will be no escalation to include the closure of the giant Johan Sverdrup field, the price of oil falls somewhat.
