Avisa Nordland – Moved in after a report of a fire in a kindergarten in Bodø

– Fire in a building in Garnveien in Bodø. It must be in a kindergarten.

Nordland Police announced this on Twitter at 5:15 p.m. Thursday.

– Emergency units are on their way to the scene, added the police.

According to duty commander Magne Brunes at exchange 110, they were notified of the fire at 5:10 p.m.

– It was on the ground floor of the kindergarten that it burned down. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly, Brunes told AN at 5:25 p.m.

Avisa Nordland reporter Rune Grønlie is at the scene and says the fire started in a garage.

– There is no car in or out of the garage.

Grønlie claims that firefighters have left the scene.

– The police are still on the scene and have started the investigation

Nordland Police Chief Operating Officer Kjetil Kaalaas confirms they are investigating.

– We do not have any specific suspicions, but we do not rule out that the fire has started. We will try to find this out with research.
