Ringnes, Coca-Cola and Hansa Borg are three of those who are at risk of going on strike starting Saturday. So you can quickly run out of beer and soda on store shelves.

On Thursday, mediation began between NHO Mat og Drank and the Norwegian Food and Beverage Workers’ Union (NNN). If they disagree before the deadline, at midnight on Saturday, 880 employees of large Norwegian breweries will go on strike as of Saturday morning, writes Dagbladet Børsen.

– In practice, only our members in the microbreweries will not be affected by a possible strike, Jarle Wilhelmsen, NNN’s collective bargaining officer, tells Børsen.

Ringnes, Coca-Cola, Hansa Borg, Aass, Grans, Telemark Kildevann, Voss Production, Arendals Bryggeri, Olden, EC Dahls and Mack are the ones to be affected by the strike.

If you love sodas and beer, you may suddenly have trouble getting your favorite drink if there is a strike. Wilhelmsen tells Børsen that the store shelves may be empty after just a week, because what is in stock in the breweries will remain.
