Norwegian Oil and Gas (NOG) made an attempt Sunday night, but was rejected by leaders. Thus, the strike intensifies.

Everything indicates an escalation in the oil strike at midnight, information manager Kolbjørn Andreassen at Norwegian Oil and Gas told E24 around 10:45 pm Sunday night.
Therefore, the oil strike continues to escalate at midnight. So far, 43 of the members of the Leaders on the Johan Sverdrup platform have gone on strike following the interruption of mediation.
The same message comes from union leader Audun Ingvartsen in Lederne, who described the situation early Sunday as “there is little and no dialogue.”
– After a long time, we received a draft protocol from NOG. Unfortunately, it was so vague and under no obligation to resolve our main claim that we rejected it, Ingvartsen writes in a text message to E24 at 10.15pm.
– We answered that we need more obligations in a protocol if the strike is to be suspended, he adds.
The union leader flew to Oslo on Sunday afternoon and said he needs to be notified well before midnight if the parties are going to sign something tangible tonight.
– I can travel to Stavanger tonight, but I need to be notified so I can catch the plane. It is our duty to do everything possible to prevent an escalation, Ingvartsen said.

The union has announced the resignation of four more platforms as of midnight: Gudrun, Gina Krog, Kvitebjørn and Gjøa. All platforms are owned by Equinor except Gjøa, where Neptune Energy is the operator.
A total of 126 members will go on strike starting at midnight, in addition to the 43 who quit their jobs on Wednesday.
In total, these six fields produce 330,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, according to the organization. This corresponds to approximately eight percent of the production on the shelf.
