Kjetil Knutsen is in the process of leading Bodø / Glimt to gold in the 2020 Elite Series.
BODØ / GLIMT – SANDEFJORD 2-1:
Bodø / Glimt got off to a good start in life without AC Milan rookie Jens Petter Hauge when Sandefjord was the opponent in Aspmyra on Sunday night.
Glimt won the match 2-1 after goals from Sondre Brunstad Fet and Ulrik Saltnes. Lars Markmanrud scored Sandefjord’s reduction goal.

– he’s so sick
Eurosport football expert Joacim Jonsson is very impressed with what the Northerners are achieving in search of gold, even though the performance after the break was not so good.
– What a ridiculous shoal they are in. He’s so sick, huh? Jens Petter Hauge disappears, then there are some question marks, then they bombard after 20 seconds. They are completely insane, Jonsson commented on Fotball Direkte as Glimt took the lead early in the game.
Bodø / Glimt captain Ulrik Saltnes was very satisfied with the three points when he spoke to Eurosport after the match.
– Yes, it is not possible to score more than three points, so it works for us, but the performance is quite poor today. We’re pretty weak in the game so we can’t get the game back on our court after they get 2-1. So it will be a fairly open match, and it is completely unnecessary and self-inflicted on our part, says Saltnes.

The league leaders had a dream start to the match when Brunstad Fet already after 17 seconds of play scored the first goal of the match.
The former Aalesund player picked up a weak punt and advanced, until he fired from 20 meters, to the corner behind Jacob Storevik.
Brutally punished for defensive defeat
After half an hour of play, Brice Wembangomo tried to cover a fumble over the dead line, but Ola Solbakken put a finger in the ball in the last minute and took Ulrik Saltnes out, who made it 2-0 with his left leg.
Five minutes before the break came the reduction goal for Sandefjord. Marius Høibråten cleared a corner only half, and then Markmanrud did not allow himself to be called twice and put the cash ball into the goal from ten meters.
Marti Cifuentes’ team never got closer to the points and thus Glimt took a new step towards league gold.
Glimt’s victory on Sunday means the team leads the Eliteserien with 19 points before the round ends with Rosenborg’s encounter with Odd.
