King Harald is still under investigation and sick leave is extended.

He was admitted to Rikshospitalet a week ago due to heavy breathing.

The king is still under investigation and the sick leave has been extended, the Palace reports on its website.

This means that Crown Prince Haakon will head the cabinet on Monday.

When the king was admitted, several bodyguard cars were observed outside the Bygdø royal estate in Oslo. Two ambulances and two bodyguard cars made their way to Rikshospitalet shortly after, where he was admitted.

The admission meant that Crown Prince Haakon assumed the king’s duties on short notice.
