NTNU writes in a press release.

The infected person is a student at the Faculty of Engineering.

The university writes that everyone who may have attended the same conference as the infected person has received an SMS from NTNU.

– The most important thing now is to limit the infection and take care of our students and employees, writes Principal Anne Borg in the press release.

Although 400 people have attended the same conferences as the infected student, the university writes that the actual number is less.

In dialogue with the municipality

On Thursday, a case of infection was also reported in NTNU. The person in question belongs to the Faculty of Engineering.

NTNU is now in contact with the municipality to find out how to handle the situation further.

– We work closely with the Municipality of Trondheim in detecting and reporting infections. We also have an ongoing dialogue with the municipality’s infection control management on how the situation should be further handled and what measures can be implemented, Rector Borg writes in the press release.
