The former prime minister and leader of the KrF, Kjell Magne Bondevik, already clarifies that he does not support the formation of the new Sentrum party.

His son John Harald Bondevik is one of the leading figures in the recent formation of the party, along with, among others, former Labor Party councilor Geir Lippestad.

In a text message to VG on Wednesday morning, Kjell Magne Bondevik writes that he is afraid of these “divisive forces that are very much in agreement.”

– I do not support the formation of the party, writes the head of KrF, shortly after the party was allowed to appear on the NRK Politisk Kvarter.

On Tuesday night, former Oslo Labor Party councilor Geir Lippestad released the news that he has joined forces with former KrF and ODM politicians to found a new party.

Lippestad is one of the founders of Sentrum and is currently chairman of the foundation’s board.

Several sources confirm to VG that two of the initiators are the son of former KrF leader Kjell Magne Bondevik, John Harald Bondevik.

The center wants Støre

The newly formed party defines itself as an independent bloc, but will support Labor leader Jonas Gahr Støre as prime minister if allowed to run in elections this fall, NTB writes.

– As the political situation is today, there are greater opportunities to have an impact for our politics in a center-left collaboration than in a collaboration with the Progress Party, Geir Lippestad said during an interview on Politisk kvarter on NRK on Wednesday morning .

– Too

Labor Party Secretary Kjersti Stenseng is among those surprised by the new subsidy.

– It is very surprising and a pity that Geir Lippestad does not find a place in the Labor Party and the workers’ movement, says Aps party secretary Kjersti Stenseng to VG.
