Hungary and Poland announced Monday that they will start a group of experts to oppose the liberal ideas that they say dominate in Brussels.

The new group of experts will investigate whether Hungary and Poland are exposed to double standards, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said at a press conference with his Polish counterpart Zbigniew Rau on Monday.

The two countries have threatened to block the new EU action plan against coronavirus if the requirements for a working rule of law are tied to the plan, as required by the European Parliament.

Szijjarto says that the new think tank will counter “the liberal ideological repression of views”, and that the “patriotic policies of Hungary and Poland that put national interests at the forefront and rest on a Christian basis” are not edible to the idea. leading international liberal.
