The police have found a dead person in Lena in the municipality of Østre Toten. The person was found lying in a river.
– We have an idea who the deceased is, but the identification has not been completed yet. So we don’t want to say more about the person, police prosecutor Pernilla Kristiansson in the Innlandet police district tells NRK.
It doesn’t mean whether they have found a man or a woman, or anything about age. Police were notified of the discovery of a dead man Sunday morning.
According to Totens Blad, the person has been found in a place that is difficult to access. This means that the person on Sunday afternoon has not been picked up from the area.

At present, there is no information on the course of the events and the death is considered suspicious. Investigations are now being launched on the ground and interviews with witnesses are being carried out to determine what may have happened.
– Crime technicians are now working there and we are conducting witness interviews in the area. From now on, we keep all possibilities open, says Kristiansson.
The lawyer for the police says that they are at the beginning of the investigation and that they had no idea of the course of events.
– We will notify the media with a new press release, as soon as we believe it is correct, says Kristiansson.
