On Sunday, there is high pressure on Finnmark, eventually bringing pleasant weather to most of northern Norway.
– There may be some clouds east of Finnmark, but the weather stays home. The rest of northern Norway looks good, says Storm’s meteorologist Roar Inge Hansen.
On Monday, the high pressure will move east towards Russia, but it will not affect the weather in a negative direction.
– It will be better, says the meteorologist, and explains:
– As you start to blow a little more from the south, take in warmer air.
20 degree
In Troms and Finnmark, the temperature rises to more than ten degrees and approaches 15 degrees in the southern areas.
– Towards Helgeland, it may be up to 20 degrees tomorrow, so tomorrow there is a touch of summer at the southern tip of Nordland, says Hansen.
So far in September, Tromsø has had a day with more than 20 degrees.
– It probably won’t be any more days, but when Tuesday comes it won’t be that low, he says.
– The right place to be
On Tuesday, a frontal system will arrive from the west, approaching the west coast of Norway and Nordland.
– Then there will be a bit more cloud cover from Lofoten and south into Nordland. There may be some rain, but it only appears to be temporary on Tuesday and maybe Wednesday, says the meteorologist.
But the disappointment doesn’t last long.
– During Wednesday and inland into next week, there will be an improvement in the weather again, with warm easterly winds inland into northern Norway. So one can expect some hot days towards the end of the week as well, he says.
– If you think a week in advance, it’s the right place to be, he adds.
Above 20 degrees
In western Norway, the weather is also quite good on Sunday.
– Across western Norway and further north in Trøndelag, the weather is excellent today, says the meteorologist, adding:
– Today will be a great day. We’re expecting 20 degrees in the warmer parts of western Norway this afternoon, and tomorrow it will probably be a couple of degrees warmer again.
This heat also extends further north.
– So it can be up to 22 degrees from much of western Norway and up to Trøndelag, says Hansen.
Precipitation Monday
The outer parts of western Norway are also affected by the system of fronts coming from the west. Therefore, there may be more clouds from the Bergen area and north towards Stad on Monday. There may also be some raindrops here and there, which will bring the temperatures down a bit.
– But it won’t be anything big, so most people will experience that it’s a good day anyway, he says.
But then it really changes. When you get to Tuesday and Wednesday, it rains from the west and the temperatures drop.
– So it doesn’t look so good for western Norway and Trøndelag. Maybe the internals of Trøndelag will leak, so the Trondheim area can, for example, have a reasonably good day on Tuesday as well, says the meteorologist.
Scattered rain in eastern Norway
Eastern Norway is characterized by a fairly cloudy Sunday. There will be some scattered rain in some places, but the meteorologist assures that they are not large amounts.
– The temperatures will not exceed 15-16 degrees, so it will not be as pleasant as in western Norway, he says.
On Monday, however, the cloud cover will begin to crack.
– And up there are masses of warm air, so when the sun peeks out, tomorrow it can start to quickly approach 20 degrees in the warmest places in eastern Norway, he says.
So far in September, Bergen has zero days with temperatures above 20 degrees. That can change now.

– Not so favorable
In addition to the meteorological system approaching western Norway, another over Denmark and Europe will move further north and affect the climate in this country.
– There will probably be a cloud cover with that system, and it may rain a little from Oslo and the south by tomorrow night, says the meteorologist.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the western system will also affect eastern Norway, leading to gray weather and some rain these days.
– And if you talk about the days after the week, the trend is that we will have low pressure in the southern and central parts of the North Sea, which generates winds from the southeast or the east over southern Norway, he says, and it states:
– Not so favorable for eastern Norway.
This will cause rain and gales to the south and east of Norway, while the central and northern parts of Norway will have good weather.
– So it may seem like the weather losers will be Sørlandet and Østlandet. Western Norway south of Stad will be a bit changeable, while it will definitely be better from Møre og Romsdal and further north, he says.
