On September 23, the Eastern Police District was notified that a dead person had been found in his apartment in central Sarpsborg.
When the police arrived at the apartment, it was clear to the police that the lifeless person had been dead for some time. The deceased is a man in his 50s, the Eastern Police District said in a press release.

– We report suspicious deaths almost every week, but in the fewest cases there is suspicion of murder. Here there was tangible evidence that there was a suspicion of something criminal, which is why it was decided to request a forensic autopsy and that the forensic examination would be awaited before giving notice.
