At 10:45 today, the police moved out after a report of an incident at an address in Sandnes, police write in a press release.
When the police arrived at the scene, they came into contact with a woman and a man. The woman looked hurt, but she was not putting her life in danger. She was sent to the hospital.
The man who was at the scene when the police arrived is charged with attempted murder.
In the initial phase
The investigation is in an early stage.
– We cannot comment on the relationship between the offended and the accused, or what is the reason for the incident. The police will now work to find out what happened. Forensic investigations are ongoing, in addition to the fact that we naturally want to speak more with those involved and witnesses, explains on-duty attorney Mads Lerum.
Taken to the hospital
– I can confirm that a person was injured and taken to hospital and that a person has been arrested after a serious incident, says Operations Manager Runar Heggen in the police to Aftenbladet.
It cannot say anything about the condition of the person who has been transferred to the hospital.
The area where the incident occurred is now cordoned off and forensic technicians are on site. Heggen says there is also a tactical investigation.
