– An ambulance was hit by the landslide, covering parts of the road. The people in the ambulance did well, but the car could no longer be driven, operations manager Eirik Kileng in the Troms police district tells NTB.
He says the road will not clear until geotechnics have been inspected after dawn. The landslide occurred about 50 meters from the nearest house and there should be no danger to the buildings.
Andersdalvegen on the west side of Ramfjorden is also closed on Tuesday morning. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration writes on their website that there is a power cable across the road.
Troms Kraft reports on Tuesday morning at 04.05 that 82 customers in Kvaløya are without power due to operational disruptions. This is in the area from Nordfjorden to Vasstrand.
State meteorologist John Austerheim tells Nordlys a little before 7 a.m. Tuesday that the worst storm has passed by this time.
– Last night there was a big storm in Hekkingen, and at the airport there was a strong gale. It rained a lot, although it wasn’t very dramatic. So far, the largest drop has been measured in the Tamok Valley at 22 millimeters in four hours. During the day there is a slight decrease in wind and rain, although there will still be a strong gale in exposed places, says Austerheim.
So far, the planes are on schedule at Tromsø airport on Tuesday morning.
Tromsø police have not reported any other incidents related to the night storm.
