– The municipality of Rana set the crisis staff at 16 today. Crisis management has worked and continues to work to provide an overview of the situation. At present, approximately 1,200 inhabitants are isolated.

The municipality is working to get an overview of who receives health and care services and to find solutions on how these services can be served.

– Isolated residents in need of emergency medical attention should call 113. Then an ambulance is requested from Rognan, or else a rescue helicopter, says Mayor Geir Waage.

E6 closed

The municipality has two children in the Storforshei kindergarten who are not picked up due to the closure of the E6. These are cared for by employees in the kindergarten. At Storforshei School, between 40 and 50 students are housed in other homes and are well cared for.
