Oslo School Fyrstikkalleen School announces on their website that they will close the school for physical attendance and return to digital education at home as a result of the bus strike.

On Sunday morning, 3,800 bus drivers from the public transport companies Ruter, Brakar and Østfold went on strike.

Since the strike is legal, public transport companies cannot increase the capacity of trains, metros, trams and boats. With that, the space in these means of transport becomes narrower, making it difficult to comply with infection control rules, NTB writes.

– Do not travel unless necessary, keep the recommended distance and use a bandage according to the recommendations of the health authorities, Ruter writes in a press release.

The strike means that the Oslo and Viken school buses will stop. The exception applies to the school bus in Hemsedal and some lines in Nore and Uvdal, Flesberg and Sigdal.

The means of transport such as trains, subways and trams will continue to operate normally.

On the web, the Fyrstikkalleen school points out that Councilor Raymond Johansen has come out to warn about a demanding situation in public transport due to infection control, so the school opts to keep the campus closed.

They also inform that there will be a new message on Monday about what will happen with the teaching on Tuesday. The school has an upper secondary school and an upper secondary school in the same building, and has around 1000 students and 120 employees.
