After the game, Haaland grinned from ear to ear. In an interview that was shown on Viasport, he was asked about the criminal situation.
– I show confidence. He (Sancho) scored the last, but today I had a good feeling. It was a nice penalty. It was very good to score, Haaland said.
He continued.
– He tried to get into my mind, but he didn’t have a chance, joked the Norwegian.
The home team had received permission to have 10,000 spectators in the stands. He then sets the stage for a perfect season opener for Haaland and company.
– I missed this. It was incredible. They mean a lot to us, Haaland said.

A well-placed goal was enough to outwit the Mönchengladbach goalkeeper, making it 1-0 in the 35th minute.
