NHO Service og Handel announces this in a press release.

NAF draws 420, while Parat draws 383 striking guards since 12 noon on Wednesday.

This is the first time there has been a strike on this year’s pay deal.

The parties mediated overtime on Wednesday morning before a violation was committed.

– There are still around 1,000 security guards laid off in this industry, who are among the hardest hit by the crown situation. At the same time, this will be the first strike in this coronal wage deal, NHO Service Executive Director Anne-Cecilie Kaltenborn says in a press release.

– The security industry largely offers services in both culture and tourism and aviation. These industries are struggling now, and several security companies are now in the process of layoffs, Kaltenborn says.

Anita Johansen says in a press release that security guards have fallen behind in terms of salary in recent years and that one of the expectations in the mediation was that the security guard salary would approach the average industrial worker salary.

– Unfortunately, we did not find any understanding for this in mediation. From the beginning of the first negotiations, we experienced a counterpart who consistently rejected all of our claims, says Johansen.
