Just after 5 pm on Monday, the police received a report from a hiker (20) who got lost on Lønahorgi mountain in Voss municipality.
– The weather is bad and it has gone off the road. He’s wet and cold, says Operations Manager Per Algrøy in the West Police District.

According to Algrøy, the police have what they believe to be a known position, and it is not far from the road.
The man is said to be near the top of the 1,400-meter-high mountain.
It is said that he took the gondola up on Sunday, climbed to the top at 22 o’clock, and then got lost on the way down again.

When BT spoke to Algrøy at 5:20 AM, they had just called rescue teams and were getting ready.
Algrøy says that the man has a mountain cloth under which he has lain.
At around 6am, police say the man has stated that he is “a little hotter” as he lies under the cloth.
