It was around 9.30pm on Saturday when the police reported the incident on Twitter.

By then, they had received a series of reports of clashes, damage and a tense atmosphere where between 200 and 300 young people had gathered. The youngsters were up to 13 years old.

According to the Police, it is a youth party that got out of control, after the fact was spread on social networks.

Youth stolen with a knife

– A total of three people were assaulted by people who threatened with a knife. Items such as clothing and mobile phones were stolen from them, says operations manager Tor Guldbrandsen.

Police have contacted many at the scene, but still want to contact more.

– There are still a lot of loose ends, so we want to get in touch with anyone who may have information about the incident. Also, we want to get in touch with any other victims who may have been exposed to something criminal, says Guldbrandsen.

Has descriptions

On Saturday morning, the police did not arrest anyone in the case.

– We don’t have any specific suspects at this time, but we do have descriptions. At the moment, we believe there may be two or three perpetrators, says the operations manager.

The first messages that reached the police were that a car had been shot. The policemen armed themselves when they moved to the area and found a car with material damage, but they cannot confirm that shots were actually fired.

The police are also not sure if they are the same perpetrators who carried out the robbery, who also carried out damage to the car.

– I laughed

No one was physically injured after the chaos, but the police take noise very seriously.

– First of all, it is unfortunate in the time of the crown that so many young people choose to be together and as close as one has been here. More serious, of course, are these robbery incidents in which youth have been robbed, said Frode Kampen, operations manager at the site.

Unclear situation

After leaving in great force, the police had no patrols in place at midnight. So they still didn’t have a complete view of the chaotic situation.

– We’ll probably spend a little more time on that. We must summarize the witness statements and seek video surveillance in the area, operations manager Sven Christian Lie told TV 2.

The director of operations looks with concern at the numerous cases of youth riots that have characterized eastern Norway in recent days.

– From an infection control point of view, you’re out of luck. At the same time, it also creates a lot of unrest and uncertainty for the rest of the population, Lie said.
