An entourage of eleven people and three dogs were trapped on the ground at Ovaldsnuten in Øvre Eidfjord on Saturday.
The area is about 1200 meters above sea level, and there was very bad weather in the area with wind, sleet, snow and low cloud cover in the afternoon hours on Saturday.
Just before 9 p.m., a local helicopter company picked up four people.
The last seven people on the tour, in addition to a companion, stayed on the mountain.
Rescuers tried to rescue the people by helicopter, but had to turn around due to the storm.

Rescue teams finally managed to reach the mountain area on foot at 11.30pm on Saturday night.
– The seven are very cold and icy, but they are happy that help has arrived, said rescue leader Hellesund shortly after.
Just before 3 a.m. on Sunday night, the police were able to announce that the last hikers had found shelter inside cabins in Krokane.
– Stoves are fired on and everyone is physically unharmed, but tired and affected, yet the mood is good, police wrote on Twitter.
The tour group and the Red Cross will stay in the cabins until dawn and will move to Øvre Eidfjord in the early hours of Sunday.
– He was exhausted while hunting sheep.
The tour party went out on Saturday collecting sheep when they got stuck in the mountains.
– They contacted each other at 7:17 p.m. and asked for help. They are very cold and wet and at least two of them are in poor physical condition at the moment, Hellesund said.
NRK has contacted one of the farmers on the harvest team. He was part of today’s meeting himself, but has come down the mountain.
– Some of the collectors were exhausted and did not recover. These are people who have been collecting all day and some of them have run out of power, he said.
