Now you have to pay and wait for an SMS if you want to know who is blocking your exit.

With the two new services “Find Vehicle Owner” and “Verify Other People’s Vehicles”, you can find vehicle information for a particular vehicle and see which vehicles are owned by a private person or company at no cost to you.

– If you are bothered by an improperly parked car, you can now log in through their page and quickly find out who to contact, says Jeanette Rognstad Munkelien Nordan, an adviser to the Norwegian Public Road Administration, in a press release.

It has been possible for a long time to find out who owns a vehicle by sending an SMS with the license plate number, but this costs money. So now it is much easier.

Not only is it possible to find out who owns the car or truck that gets in the way of your drive, or is a little too close to your car. You can also see who is the co-owner or lessee of the vehicle.

It will also be possible to find the vehicle’s mileage when you log in, but it is not open online for privacy reasons.

– If you are buying a used vehicle, the vehicle’s mileage is important information. Therefore, the mileage will still be available, but then you must use our new service on your page at vegvesen.no to retrieve it, Monika Omholt, department director of the Norwegian Public Road Administration, in the press release.
