– Forecasts for hurricane-force winds have been sent, they will blow in many places in the country, says meteorologist on duty at the meteorological institute, Eldbjørg Moxnes, to ABC News.

Wind and precipitation in western Norway will spread north along the coast, which is the backdrop for hazard warnings.

– There may also be a small storm for shorter periods along the coast at Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag, says the meteorologist.

Up to 140 millimeters of rain

Also along the coast in our northernmost counties it will fly a lot, says Moxnes.

In addition, the Norwegian Directorate of Water Resources and Energy has issued flood warnings for several locations in Vestland County. Heavy rains are expected in western Norway this weekend.

– In western Norway, south of Stad, it rains all weekend. It can reach up to 120-140 millimeters in total. It is quite a lot, but it is spread over the weekend. Also in the mountains there will be difficult conditions, both in the north and in the south, says Moxnes.

Who will be the winner of the weather this weekend?

There will hardly be a clear weather winner this weekend, but it is eastern Norway that seems to have the best weather.

– There will be long periods of stay in eastern Norway, but here too there may be some rain on Sunday, says Moxnes.
