Erling Braut Haaland celebrated both goals against Northern Ireland with a tribute to his childhood idol Michu, and now he has received a response.
Northern Ireland really got to know the Dortmund forward’s skills in Monday’s Nations League clash in Belfast.
On the other hand, it was a change of costume and the celebration of the last goal that drew a lot of attention on social networks.
The 20-year-old from Jæren posted a picture of the celebration itself and tagged former Swansea hero Miguel Pérez Cuesta, better known as Michu.
– Future winner of the Ballon d’Or
Braut Haaland has been open about the fact that Michu has been a hero since childhood. The two have gradually exchanged many messages on various platforms, Michu says in an interview with Radio MARCA.
– I give him a lot of advice and support after my years as a player, and we talk a lot together on social media.

Michu goes on to say that Haaland will fight for the most generous individual awards in the future.
– He is still a child and will improve a lot in the coming years. If he continues to develop, he will fight for both the Ballon d’Or and the Ballon d’Or.
– Defining for the decade
Michu made a name for himself after his first season with Swansea in the Premier League. The 18 goals attracted a lot of attention, but he himself believes that Haaland surpasses it all.
– I have never seen a breakthrough like that in international football, maybe Kylian Mbappé. Has it all. Speed, height, he’s good with both feet and he’s still young, he continues.
Finally, he comes with big words about Norway’s high hopes.
– He will be decisive for this decade. There has been talk of Real Madrid and the best players should be in the best clubs. I know that La Liga follows, but I never bother him with those questions, he concludes.
