Two city council deputies excluded from Frp

Meetings as independent representatives at the town hall on Wednesday.

City council representatives Tor Woldseth and Thomas Flesland have been excluded from the Progress Party, reports BA.

– I can confirm that they are no longer members of the Progress Party, says Marte Monstad, who is the party’s group leader in the town hall.

Monstad will now be the only FRP representative on Bergen City Council, as the other two will meet as independent representatives. A town hall seat is linked to a person and not to a party. Therefore, Woldseth and Flesland will retain their city council seats independently.

The director of the city council, Roar Kristiansen, confirms that he has summoned them to the meeting as independent representatives.

BT most recently was in contact with Flesland, who then said that he would normally meet at the town hall as a representative of FRP.

Warning letter received

In BT’s experience, the two received a letter last week warning that they could be excluded from the party. Since then, there has been a lot of activity at the meetings.

For a long time he has been very uncomfortable in the Frp town hall group in Bergen. Mars Monstad was elected leader of the group, against the wishes of Woldseth and Flesland.

The two did not respond to BT’s questions on Tuesday. Neither does the county leader, Gustav Bahus.

Before the weekend, FRP communications manager Kjetil Løset referred to the party’s statutes.
