On Monday afternoon, Danish authorities claim that 230 new cases of covid-19 have been registered in the last 24 hours. As a result, the Danes are putting new measures in place to prevent the spread of the infection.

Young adults
Among the new cases are mainly young adults. The health authorities assure in a press conference this Monday that a single birthday party will be the cause of 30 of the new cases of contagion.
Heunicke was asked if Denmark is about to lose control.
– We are not. We test more than most countries per 100,000 people. We have a sophisticated surveillance system for infection detection. So we can act soon. And that’s exactly what you see now, he says.
Squeeze in
Among other things, the authorities are tightening the ban on the assembly of up to 100 to 50 people in various municipalities in Copenhagen and Odense. A total of 18 municipalities are covered by the new measures.
The measure is one of several in a long series of measures that the Danish Ministry of Health has announced in a letter to the parties in the Folketing, according to the Danish BT.
In addition to reducing the number of people that can gather to 50, there are also cuts in the opening hours of bars and cafes. This comes after Denmark chose to reopen nightlife after being closed for a period, according to Berlingske. The Health Minister denies that it was a mistake.
