Just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, the subway had to stop between Blindern and Majorstua, near the Police Academy, due to a fired extinguisher.

“Many young people have also been following the trail. It is possible that fireworks were also fired aboard the field. Now power has been seized on the stretch and the emergency services are working there, “the Oslo police report on Twitter.

– We have not received any notification of any injuries at this time, Operations Manager Marita Aune tells Dagbladet.

He says at 11:25 p.m. that the police received the message at 10:40 p.m., but that there is hope that the metro can start again soon.

– We received the message from the subway itself, that it had been hurt. Arriving patrols began investigating and information emerged that fireworks may also have been used, Aune says.

Police have so far been unable to verify the latter.

In an update at 11:44 pm, the Oslo police write that they have investigated both the subway and the subway.

– No personal injury. The vehicle pool can continue driving and we create a damage case. Emergency services are leaving the scene.

Ina Helen Østby, Sporveien’s press officer, confirms to Dagbladet that there was an incident on the metro today, near the Majorstuen metro station.

– It was then Sporveien who contacted the police for help. We also had a stay in traffic. Now it is working again. All lines are operating normally, but unfortunately there are relatively large operational delays and disruptions.

She has no further knowledge of the course of events or why the extinguisher was activated.

– Sporveien is responsible for the security associated with metro operations. This means that when incidents related to our operations occur, it is continually evaluated whether they should be reported. I am not aware of any decisions made so far. This is something to be considered.

Dagbladet is following the case.
