Both German Prime Minister Angela Merkel and the German doctors who treated him have declared that the leader of the Russian opposition Alexei Navalny was poisoned.

New information surfaced in the German media on Friday about the basis for authorities to ensure that Navalny was the target of a poison attack.

According to the newspaper Der Spiegel, traces of the deadly poison novitsjok were found in three different samples from the critic of the Russian regime: on skin, in blood and in urine samples.

Tiny remains revealed the poison

Navalny is in a coma in a Berlin hospital after falling seriously ill during a flight in Siberia two weeks ago.

The Russian authorities, for their part, have categorically denied the accusations. The Kremlin-controlled media claim that everything is a manifestation of Western Russophobia.

As early as August 24, doctors at Charite Hospital determined that clinical findings indicated that Navalny was poisoned.

At the time, doctors had not been able to identify exactly what type of poison it was. Therefore, more tests had to be carried out, including in a special Bundeswehr laboratory in Munich.

“The clear conclusion is that Navalny had had contact with a poison from the novitiate group,” writes Der Spiegel.

“There were only minimal traces, but experts found the internationally banned toxin in samples of skin, blood and urine.”

Both Angela Merkel and the Secretary General of the EU and NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, react strongly to the poisoning of Navalny and demand that Russia investigate the case.

In Germany, several politicians have called for strong reactions, including the halting of the prestigious North Stream 2 project.
