On Wednesday morning, action leader Hans Christian Hansen of the Stad landskap organization entered the construction area at Stad in Nordfjord.
He sat upright in the heather in front of a bulldozer, while the Karane from the construction company spent his time peering down the road further up the hill.
– I have told the workers of the construction company that they can have a long coffee, says Hansen.
– But I’ve been sitting for years preventing them from starting to dig.
Several appeared
In the morning twig he was alone, but after strong encouragement on social media, several more people showed up a little before dinner with a banner.
– There are people from Selje and Stadlandet who support me, says Hansen.
But not everyone agrees with the activist. Yesterday, Ole Borgund told NRK that most of the people in the village think it is good that the wind farm is coming.
– We need development, he said.
Hansen told NRK Wednesday morning that he had received information that not all owners had signed the agreement giving permission to build the road. Therefore, he threw himself and entered the construction zone to avoid what he described as an illegal act.
Lawyer: – The agreement has been signed
But the landowners’ lawyer, Jostein Røynesdal, denies that the agreements are in order. In an SMS to NRK, he writes that all the owners have signed the agreement that applies to the access road to the wind farm.
– We are in the process of completing the work to clarify some pending issues, but this does not apply to the construction of the road. Therefore, the landowners will not claim that the work being done now is illegal, he further writes in the report.
When NRK informed Hansen of what the landowners’ attorney had said, he and the other shareholders decided to move out of the construction area and end the attempt to impede the work.
Falck Renewables director Scott Gilbert has previously said that they have full permits to begin the work. NVE has also confirmed that they have approved the advance plan.
– abuse
On Monday, Hansen rented a larger rally in town, when more than 200 people lined up. The hope was to prevent the bulldozers from arriving.
– It is an abuse in an iconic landscape. It is a trademark of all Norway. It is a loss of investment. Five turbines don’t work, says the activist.
