According to the indictment, Johansen was killed on the night of November 9 or the night of November 10. Only 13 days later they found him, after no one had heard from the 35-year-old for nearly two weeks.
According to VG, Johansen was reported missing on November 20 and two days later he was found dead at his friend’s house.
– Now the comrade is charged with serious bodily injury resulting in death, and according to the indictment, the 38-year-old man is said to have pushed Johansen so that he fell onto a sofa, before he leaned on the comrade and pressed himself against his neck for so long that he died, writes VG.
– The description of the course of events is in accordance with my client’s explanation. But she does not admit guilt. He did not think at all that the comrade should die, says the defendant’s defender Kjetil Krokeide to VG.
The autopsy report shows that Johansen died of suffocation.
The defendant has previously explained that after the roof of the basket he took his dead friend to a terrace adjacent to the house. This is where they found him, 13 days after his death.
– He panicked and didn’t know what to do, Krokeide tells the newspaper.
The case begins in Vesterålen District Court on September 28. Five days have been set aside for treatment.
