Police say the deceased was probably working on the car.
(Bergensavisen): All emergency services moved to an address in the municipality of Alver on Monday afternoon, where a man had ended up trapped under a car.
The life of the man in his 40s could not be saved. The police consider death an accident.
– He ended up trapped under the car and died from his injuries. The accident likely occurred in connection with the fact that he was working under the car, says operations manager Tom Johannessen at BA police.
Investigating death
Police don’t want to go into detail about how the accident should have happened, but say the leading theory is that a lifting device failed.
– From what we can see, he has jacked up the car and worked under it, before the car fell down, says Johannessen.
Late on Monday night, police conducted crime scene work at the scene of the accident.

Found by an acquaintance
The man’s relatives have been notified, BA will be confirmed.
According to the Police, it was an acquaintance of the deceased who alerted the emergency services after finding the man under the car.
– Now we will compare the information we have and ask ourselves more if it is appropriate. An autopsy will also be performed, says the task leader.
