It is still possible to enjoy the last days of summer throughout the country.

On Tuesday we enter the first autumn month of the year. After a summer in which most people have been on vacation in Norway, it is still possible to enjoy the last days of summer.

– We have a few good days ahead, at least until midweek. Starting Thursday, there will be more rain and generally more gray weather, says on-call meteorologist at Storm Cecilie Villanger.

Sørlandet is luckier with the summer weather the next few days, where temperatures stay a little above 20 degrees.

– Monday through Wednesday looks better, while Wednesday and Thursday look great in northern Norway, says Villanger.

On the other hand, it will be cooler this weekend and also next week.

– We must bear in mind that it is starting to be autumn, and that the clear weather at night gives lower temperatures the next day, says Villanger.

Eastern Norway warmer for the weekend

It is eastern Norway that can enjoy the best weather this weekend.

– Friday can be quite hot in southern eastern Norway, while it will be a bit cooler in the west, says Villanger.

It is western Norway that bears the brunt of the rain and wind.

– It will blow a bit in western Norway, and from Wednesday the south wind will increase. Therefore, it may break out with a strong gale on Thursday, Villanger says.

The temperatures will also drop here.

– From Thursday there will be less sun in western Norway, so there will also be lower temperatures.

– Moving into fall

Northern Norway does have to go through a bit of mild cloudiness at the beginning of the week, but on Tuesday the weather will be quite good.

– In the north, there will be an increase in temperatures from Tuesday, and in Nordland it can be up to 20 degrees, says Villanger.

He also claims that there will be more clouds and precipitation over the weekend.

In general, temperatures are slowly dropping and we probably cannot expect the southern temperatures that we have had in some parts of the country during the summer.

“Temperatures are slowly dropping as we move into fall,” says Villanger.

However, it is not certain that we have to completely unpack summer clothes just yet.

– Next week there will be lower temperatures than we have now, but they can be beautiful days if we are lucky.
