At midnight the night before Sunday, Trøndelag police launched a search operation for a man in his 30s. On Sunday afternoon, the search continues with great force in the surroundings of Bringsåsen in the municipality of Verdal.

Trøndelag police inform TV 2 that they are searching for the man with all their might.

The Armed Forces, Sea King, Norwegian rescue dogs, the Red Cross, drones and helicopters, as well as the police contribute to the search.

– All volunteer resources, as well as the Armed Forces contribute to the search. It will be carried out with constant force throughout the night, until we get results, says the manager of operations in the Trøndelag police district, Frank Brevik.

So far, they have no sign of where the missing person may be.

He was last seen around 5.45pm on Saturday. Brevik says the man was in the cabin with his family. They were the ones who reported him missing later that night.

From night to Sunday it was cool in Trøndelag, with six degrees and rain.

– He’s been scantily clad, and that’s what makes us want to grab the man.

The case is being updated.
