– It’s serious – VG

S T. HANSHAUGEN (VG) A total of seven unconscious people were taken to the hospital last night, after being poisoned with carbon monoxide in a cave in Oslo. According to the police, up to 80 people may have been at the party.

The case is being updated!

Large forces of the police, health and firefighters moved to the Collets gate in Oslo on Sunday morning, where seven people were unconscious after a party in a cave.

– They have installed portable units and have started them up to power the music. It has developed CO and removed oxygen, and this is why there has been a poor breathing environment there, fire service operations manager Ronny Andersen tells VG.

A total of 24 patients have come to the hospital after the party in question, communication consultant Anders Bayer of Oslo University Hospital informs NTB.

The condition of the seven who were unconscious must range from severe to critical, police say. Two police officers were also exposed to carbon monoxide and are receiving treatment.

Ravefest

Police task force leader Arve Røtterud says it’s a rave party.

– One of our police patrols was greeted by someone who was sick and needed help. When they went out and talked to people, there are several coming out of a cave, she tells VG.

Several of the people who came out were bad, so several police cars and ambulances rushed to the scene.

– Those of us who have spoken are between 20 and 30 years old. We’re not entirely sure the number of partygoers, but it may have been as many as 80 people, says Røtterud.

– It was a rave party in honor of someone who had a birthday. Inside the cave there are vestiges of the festivities. The concern is that there has been very little oxygen there, which made them feel bad and leave the cave.

The entrance to the cave measures approximately 1 x 1 meter. When it enters, it first goes down a few meters, before opening.

The cave, which is spacious once you are inside, is about 70 meters deep and is shaped like an E, the fire department operations manager reports to VG.

– It could have been much worse

Since there can be as many as 80 people at the party, there are still many that the police have no control over.

The fact that several have evacuated and left the site is commendable, task leader Hans Kristian Jørgensen of health tells VG.

– They may have symptoms when they go to bed. If anyone has been to the party and is feeling uncomfortable, I recommend that they contact the emergency room or Ullevål hospital.

– This could have been a lot worse. Amphetamines, MDMA, cocaine with alcohol have been used. We will return to condition when they have been on a check. There are no escape routes, you are trapped in a cave. So it could have been terrifying.

– The evacuation went well so far anyway. There were a lot of bad boys there. It should not be possible to enter there, precisely because it is dangerous.

So far, the police have not been able to question anyone at the scene.

– This is serious. Anything that can crawl and shoot, ambulance and police is on site.

– They must have illegally entered a bunker, where they had a party.

Were the minors present?

– We have not been able to bring everyone’s personal data, but we are talking about people between 20 and 30 years old.
