STEINKJER / TRONDHEIM (VG) Parliamentary Representative Ingvild Kjerkol has been proposed as a rival to Rennebu Mayor Marit Bjerkås in the battle for leadership in Trøndelag Ap.
This is what Arild Pedersen from Verdalen says on the podium at the county team’s annual meeting at Steinkjer city hall.
Marit Bjerkås was unanimously nominated as leader on Friday night after the nominating committee rejected Trond Giske.
Several local teams have been positive about a bank proposal for Kjerkol, various sources report to VG. Pedersen requested a written vote on behalf of several local teams in Nord-Trøndelag.
Nominating committee leader Arild Grande, on the other hand, wants new blood in leadership.
– We have had good speeches before that we want to improve the culture of the match, and then everything has continued as after. Unfortunately, I don’t think that we, who have had great power for many years, are the right people to do it, Grande tells the annual meeting.

VG sources: Nominating committee leader said it could be notified if Ingvild Kjerkol is nominated as leader.
– We can’t go on like before. There will be changes, and that means that a good part of those who have power today must be willing to share it.
Warned about alerts to Kjerkol
Kjerkol is the party’s health policy spokesperson and comes from Stjørdal in Nord-Trøndelag. He attends the annual meeting in Steinkjer along with the rest of the delegates from the north, while the delegates from the south are meeting at the Clarion hotel in Trondheim.
The Storting representative appeared as a hot candidate on Friday, when the nominating committee met again to make a new recommendation on Friday morning.
But at the beginning of the meeting, the members received a message from the leader of the electoral committee, Arild Grande: if Kjerkol were nominated as the new leader, it would be possible receive a warning against it, according to VG sources.
Grande warned both against others being able to report harassment and misbehavior, and also said that he could report it himself, according to information from VG.
Kjerkol believes that Grande has broken routines both for electoral processes and for notification.
– What I have experienced in the last 24 hours, I simply cannot accept. We have clear articles of association and routines on how we elect shop stewards, how we make nominations, and how we handle service cases, Kjerkol says from the rostrum just before the court’s proposal is presented.
-It was a very surprising experience for me yesterday, that the president of the nominating committee called me, where he explained that he had received an SMS about the notification of the members, he continues.
– When the chairman of the nominating committee handles things the way Arild Grande has, it is completely different than the organization should be, concluded Kjerkol to applause from Steinkjer’s room.
In both Steinkjer and Trondheim, several delegates criticized the nominating committee from the rostrum.

Large: Kjerkol is not well
Grande said earlier Saturday that people who already have a lot of power, like Kjerkol and himself, are not the right people to clean up and give Trøndelag Labor a fresh start.
The chairman of the nominating committee declined to comment text messages he according to information from VG said he had received. The previous Saturday, he did not want to comment on Kjerkol’s criticism.
For TV 2, Grande says that the SMS was not decisive for the setting:
– I told him about the message, which I thought was correct that the committee knew about. It would be strange if he ignored it and failed those who tell his stories.
