“What I saw in the hospital was that the mothers were shot systematically,” says Frederic Bonnot, head of MSF in Afghanistan.

Attackers who carried out the terrorist attack at a hospital in Kabul, where 24 people died, methodically shot mothers, according to MSF.

“What I saw in the hospital was that the mothers were systematically killed,” says Frederic Bonnot, head of MSF in Afghanistan.

He was present at the hospital the day after the brutal attack, in which 24 people died, including babies.

The United States believes it is the Islamic State (IS) behind the attack, which was carried out by three people.

– They went through the rooms in the maternity ward and shot the women in their beds. It was methodical, says Bonnot.

He describes the scene that met him in the hospital the next day, where there was blood on the floor and gunshot wounds on the walls.

– This country is sad enough to see terrible things. But what happened Tuesday can’t be described in words, Bonnot says.

When the attack occurred, there must be 26 mothers in the maternity ward. Ten of them managed to get to safety.
