– It is a magnificent property, and those who get it are lucky, says his partner and real estate agent Simon Aasen at Eie Eiendomsmegling.

Skipanesvegen 106, called Villa Charlotte, is located on the Milde peninsula, in the Ytrebygda district of Bergen.

With 567 square meters, the single-family house has six rooms, all with private bathrooms and private balconies. The price is NOK 59 million.

– If you buy Villa Charlotte, you get a beachfront property that is absolutely spectacular. It is within walking distance of the center of Bergen, and for foreigners it is also useful for a short distance to the airport, says Aasen.

The villa is at the end of a private path, right next to a botanical garden. The 2338-square-meter property also has its own pool, bathhouse, and private jetty.

– The perfect buyer can be anyone. The villa had previously been used as a hotel and has now been used as a single-family home for a family, says Aasen.

In 2015, the seller, who was the former shipowner Torunn Økland, opened to begin receiving asylum, but this never came to an end. Bergens Tidende has previously written that the property cost NOK 38 million to build in 2000.

– Given the turmoil of the stock market and the low rate of the crown, it can be a good investment for foreigners. Property has great potential, the possibilities are many, says Aasen.
