It has been six months since the private broker in Fredrikstad leased the Tore Tidemanden country house in Hubukta, just outside Fredrikstad, for sale.
“In my 23 years as a real estate agent, I have never seen my husband,” real estate agent Lars-Ketil Liane told DN at the time.
Now, after all the sun marks, the property has set a preliminary annual record for a beach property.
– We don’t comment on the price, says Per Olav Borgås, CEO of Privatmegleren Fredrikstad.
– Not even if it ended below or above the price of $ 38 million?
– No. But there has been a good interest in the property, he says, adding that the sale happened on Monday.
Bought for 7.2 million
It has been 18 years since Tore Tidemandsen, who along with his brother Øyvind was one of the founders of the Elkjøp electric chain and XXL sporting goods chain, bought the property in Hubukta between Hankø and Kråkerøy in Fredrikstad. The price of the 62 meter beach property was NOK 7.8 million. Since then, the Tidal Man has spent a million digits to renovate the property, which measures 62 acres and has 700 meters of coastline.
– Why did I sell? It is simply about time. We haven’t been able to use it as often as we should, ”Tidemandsen tells DN after the sale is in port.
– It’s a wonderful place, that’s it. But it’s about priorities. We also have houses in other places and I think it is important to be able to use everything and not walk with a bad conscience so that it is not used, he says.
– Did you receive a quote of NOK 38 million?
– Both the buyer and the seller agree that we do not come out with the price. But I can say that they are both very happy, says Tidemandsen.
