To obtain money on account, students must be able to document that they have lost income due to the crown crisis.
“This money ensures that many students who are in a difficult financial situation get more money to deal with,” says Research and Higher Education Minister Henrik Asheim (H).
Students will receive an email, which will be sent in groups over several days, from the Loan Fund. Those who are entitled to it will be able to log in to request the additional loan, where NOK 8,000 will be converted into scholarships.
Those who have received an email can request it. The application forms a self-declaration confirming the decrease in income between March 1 and June 15, 2020 due to the eruption of the crown. The money will be paid in a few days.

It was in mid-April that the government decided that students who have lost part-time jobs and secondary income as a result of the crown eruption can apply for an additional loan from the Loan Fund.
Applicants must be able to confirm lost earnings as a result of the crown crisis in advance, and must document it later.
