Three out of ten drive too fast in all 30 zones, while almost half drive in all 50 zones. Many people explain that the roads are good.

47 percent of Norwegian motorists say they often or sometimes break the speed limit in all 50 zones. Up to eight out of ten break the speed limit in 80 zones.
It shows a new national Kantar survey conducted on behalf of Trygg Trafikk.
Many people in all 30 zones drive too fast. According to the survey, three out of ten do so occasionally or more frequently.
– There is talk of densely populated areas and residential areas with children and users of soft roads. So it is very important to keep your speed down and be alert. We at Trygg Trafikk also want more police checks in densely populated areas, says Bård Morten Johansen, senior advisor at Trygg Trafikk.
Mainly on rural roads
48 percent of those who drive too fast say they do it because they forget, while 37 percent think they can drive too fast because the road is good enough.
Driving on the country’s roads is still very difficult. In the 80 zones, more than two in ten say they almost always break the speed limit. More than eight in ten say they do it occasionally or frequently.
