“This weekend, I informed the nomination committee at Troms Ap that I don’t want reelection for the Storting after the next election,” writes Storting representative Martin Henriksen on Facebook.

Henriksen has served six years in the Storting for Troms Labor Party. He is currently a member of the Storting Education and Research Committee and is a spokesperson for Aps educational policy.

Henriksen is a former AUF leader, county council politicians, and political adviser to the red-green government.

“I have been working with politics full time almost continuously since I was 23 years old (that is, the last 18 years, only interrupted for 1.5 years with other tasks). (…) Full-time politics is fun, but full-time politics was never planned to last a lifetime, “writes Henriksen in the post.

Henriksen further writes that he is ready for full efforts over the past year, especially with the presentation of the Northern Territory policy. After that, he expects new challenges, but doesn’t know what, he writes.
