Norwegian CEO Jacob Schram released a letter to airline employees on his Linkedin profile on Friday.
Here, the Norwegian chief writes that the company will only operate with a few flights in Norway until March of next year, as it seems now.
Here too, thousands of employees who have been excluded from Norwegians’ email and computer systems are told that they can sign up for a so-called “talent pool” so that they can obtain information on future development.
After the letter was published, several employees shared their views on Schram’s Linkedin profile, and a heated debate ensued, NRK writes.
Among other things, a British woman, who should have previously worked as a cabin crew for the company, described Norwegian’s behavior as “disrespectful to all British employees who still don’t know what will happen to them.”
In response, Schram wrote, among other things, the following, according to NRK:
– If you are not satisfied with what we do, I suggest you find another airline to work for.
The response was published overnight through Saturday and was deleted the following morning, according to the news channel.
Since no one in Norwegian has wanted to interview NRK, Schram writes in an email to the news channel:
“I deleted a text that I think might be offensive, that was never the point.”
“My clear message that I have communicated to everyone in Norwegian is that it is heartbreaking that so many excellent colleagues lose their jobs or have been laid off. It is brutal, but we have to face reality. There is no safe haven for any of us, “he adds.
