“This is a bit confusing to me, but that there is an increase with young people who commit serious crimes, we cannot hide under a chair,” says police attorney Anne-Karine Veiding to NRK.

The second weekend of May is the conclusion of the Oslo police lawyer.

– Night until May 10, it has been very busy for the Oslo Police District. We have had many tasks and several of them very serious, with several serious robberies. And where there have been several together on actions where weapons of various types have been used.

– Several of those arrested are under the age of 18. The youngest of only 15 years old.

Famous gangs and loose groups.

She explains that it has been a particularly severe robbery and severe violence that has increased in recent months.

– There are often more in groups. This is related to both gangs and outside of the gang concept, but they happen together, Veiding says.

The night-to-Sunday event, which Veiding talks about, took place at Torshovdalen in Oslo. A man was stabbed with a knife and four young men were later taken away. The man’s condition is serious, but stable, police say.

Knife stabbing in Torshovdalen

– We were notified of the fight and moved to the site. When we arrived, we found a man who had been stabbed by something sharp and was being treated by an ambulance on site, said operations manager Sven Christian Lie in the Oslo Police District on Sunday morning.

At 2.30 p.m., the police seized the first of the four. They also found a knife and a bloody T-shirt. Two hours later, the other three were arrested.

The four are between 17 and 21 years old. Police believe they are also behind a robbery in downtown Oslo on Saturday night.

– There was a person to whom four young people robbed articles and money. The victim was threatened but suffered no physical injuries. The incident was captured on camera, and images show that these four are possibly the same who were also involved in stabbing a knife in Torshovdalen, Lie told NTB on Sunday morning.
