Within twelve hours, the Nerdelandslaget podcast duo Stian Blipp and Andreas Hedemann, as well as Sebastian Brynestad raised $ 632,000 in revenue for UNICEF and the fight against the crown.
– He’s totally sick – It’s still a little unreal, Stian Blipp tells TV 2.
The background to the fundraising campaign was UNICEF, which sent a request for collaboration to the boys.
– We in the Nerdelands team suggest doing it in my basement, a program packed with three children, a couple of cameras and twelve hours of entertainment.
It was Bergens Tidende who first mentioned the case.
I expected 200,000
Before the broadcast, the boys hoped to reach 200,000 crowns.
– We thought beforehand that if we reached NOK 200,000 it would be incredibly good. That target was reasonably destroyed.
Also, the boys through the transmission had some secondary objectives, where they had to accomplish one thing, if the secondary objective was achieved.
– I had a partial goal that if we hit NOK 50,000 I would have to get a new tattoo. After 20 minutes, we’d spent 50,000, so I was smoking pretty fast.
Now Blipp is sitting with a beard again with a new tattoo on his leg that says “the meat is gone.” In addition, fellow Hedemann keeps one, according to Blipp, a small rude mustache.
historically
At twelve o’clock, the boys huddled together in a program packed with games and competitions. Along with various partners, the boys awarded multiple prizes where people could nominate themselves by donating money.
– What’s good is that it doesn’t cost us anything to do this. There is only one room in the basement with three comrades and lots of entertainment. So the money raised went directly to UNICEF.
From what Blipp knows, he believes that this is a historical collection.
– I think this is most of what has been collected, in such a collection. It is totally wild.
UNICEF Director of Communications Jean-Yves Gallardo says UNICEF is extremely satisfied with the cooperation and the outcome. Given that several people at UNICEF are above average interested in the games, especially Secretary General Camilla Viken, they seemed
The idea sounded exciting.
“This was something new for both sides, so I think we all had an expectation to experiment and get something that could be a new way to raise money,” says Gallardo.
Couldn’t hold back the tears
After almost twelve hours on screen, Blipp couldn’t hold back his tears.
